Roof Safety Supplies Ltd. has supplied bespoke guardrail and temporary demarcation systems to the London Metropolitan Archives in Clerkenwell.
The building is the principal local government archive repository for the Greater London area, and is the largest county record office in the United Kingdom, attracting over 30,000 visitors every year.
Roof Safety Supplies’ team designed and developed an upright guardrail system to allow anyone accessing the roof to do so safely. The 278m system was power coated in black to the client’s specification, allowing it to blend in to its surroundings.
The 75m D-MARC demarcation provides further safety for roof-users, indicating the safest routes across the roof and further restricting access to the roof’s edges, greatly reducing the risk of a fall.
